What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking a Information Enterprise Systems Technologist!
On any given day, you may be called on to:
Work with Authentication and Identity to develop, install, test, administer, and document distributed computing systems, including operating systems, shared components, networking, commercial off-the-shelf application interoperability validation, and cyber security configuration management
Support a wide range of computer hardware, file storage subsystems, workstations, and peripherals used in credentialling
Translate business needs into technical solutions and defines solutions to business problems through reasoned application of information technology
Determine integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security needs
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.
Qualifications We Require:
High School Diploma, or equivalent plus 3 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Experience with shared file systems, web applications, and custom applications
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance
Qualifications We Desire:
Experience working in a team environment with a diverse approach to problem solving
Experience working on different networks and managing multiple credentials
Familiarity with network protocols and network management technologies. Skill applying software diagnostic tools and the ability to conduct appropriate troubleshooting processes and conduct appropriate upgrades
Ability to maintain accurate records
Experience with effective customer communication, such as vendors, and database administrators
Knowledge of operating systems, including UNIX, Linux, Windows, and MacOS
Ability to research, assemble, and evaluate information or data regarding industry practices or applicable regulatory changes and recommend sound, practical solutions to complex issues
Ability to define systems requirements based on user/client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms
Ability to define technical standards and functionality tests, and to develop specifications, prototypes, or initial user guides
Ability to model behaviors that reflect Sandia's core values
ITIL v3 or 4 Foundations certified
About Our Team:
Enterprise End-User Computing Services, Organization 09763, is comprised of teams that research, develop, and service the desktop and mobile computing environments across Sandia. Teams include the Desktop as a Service team, Strategic Mobility project, Corporate Computing Help Desk, strategically located desktop support teams (CSUs), and specialized support teams.

Position Information:
This Limited Term Employee (LTE) position is a temporary position for one year term, which may be renewed at Sandia's discretion up to a maximum of seven years.
Individuals in LTE positions may bid on regular Sandia positions as internal candidates, and in some cases may be converted to regular career positions during their term if warranted by ongoing operational needs, continuing availability of funds, and satisfactory job performance.
