JOB REQUIREMENTS: Duties and Responsibilties of Job: Job Information TheMaterial Flow Engineer\'s objective is to develop and implement plans toimprove material flow, parts presentation, and delivery processes inalignment with the overall plant strategy. Role & ResponsibilityContinuous Improvement of Material Delivery Processes Define appropriatematerials presentation strategy and replenishment methods. Assist inphysical set-up of Material Flow layout areas. Monitor and communicatemetrics relative to material handling issues and drive continuousimprovement. Work with BUSCL/ME\'s on container management for improvedline-side presentation and material flow/replenishment signaling.Calculate material handling manpower needs for product lines to includenew processes for material tracking and inventory accuracy.Communication & Education Assist in training personnel on materialmovement processes. Manage material movement work instruction to ensurefunctionality and alignment. Streamline Material Delivery Design,prototype and implement material delivery options. Incorporate Visualsignals into kitting operations. Assist in developing an engineered dockdoor to point of use material handling process, including dock doorutilization, transport mode, transport path, line side location, andreturns cycle and path. Monitor and Identify industry trends formaterial handling applicable to current business state through LRP. JobRequirement Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes,safety practices, quality, total preventative maintenance and facilitieslayout. Experience with line and process design, material presentation,and visual management tools. Lean Manufacturing - Yellow Belt preferred.Willing to learn computer aided design (i.e. AutoCAD), Apriso, andOracle/SAP (for transactions related to control cycles, materialinformation, tracking, and movements). Experience using Excel, Word,Power Point, and Project. Excellent communication, team work and problemsolving skills.
