Key job responsibilities
The role has the primary responsibility of ensuring indirect material/equipment/services availability to support production and engineering schedules. Other responsibilities are interacting/coordinating with suppliers on a variety of topics ensuring compliance and supporting other business functions as required.
• Monitor status of open orders to ensure on-time delivery of Purchase Orders, including timely resolution, communication.
• Expedite or defer orders as required based on schedule and/or inventory changes.
• Manage and resolve issues regarding PO to invoice discrepancies, returns and quality problems with suppliers.
• Provide back-up support for supply chain functions including shipping, receiving, material handling and other duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with internal customers and provide a high level of customer service, including recommending solutions, resources and alternative supply options.
• Ensure and promote compliance to Company and Procurement policies and procedures.
• Understand and comply with all import/export requirements.

Basic Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in buyer/planner/material scheduler role working with indirect procurement
• 2+ years experience with procurement systems or financial applications
• 2+ years of experience with metrics creation or data presentation
Preferred Qualifications
• Ability to self-direct and take constructive action in ambiguous situations
• Experience Managing a team of Buyers
• Be comfortable with ambiguity and curious to learn new skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $67,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $162,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
