ROLE SUMMARY
Direct & design Incentive Compensation programs, policies, and guidelines to meet corporate standards and compliance requirements and support brand strategies for all Pfizer Business Units in North America
Architect high-performance incentive and variable pay plans including short-term incentives and sales incentive plans to drive performance and business objectives in collaboration with internal/external partners and senior business Leaders
Partner with stakeholders across different functions (Finance, Global Compensation, PX, Sales, Digital, BiopharmaOps and Marketing) to set direction for the Incentive Compensation Design of Business Units & Teams
Drive continuous improvement by monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of incentives design and performance measurements
Act as the subject expert for all Legal and Compliance IC related engagements (Incentive Compensation changes, compliance inquires or litigation, etc.)
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the evolution of compensation approaches through close alignment with industry and non-industry trends
Drive adoption among senior leaders of "best in class" compensation practices in the pharmaceutical industry
Anticipate customer needs and market trends by being externally focused and leveraging a deep understanding of stakeholders
Identify opportunities to enhance Pfizer's competitive advantage through incentive strategies
Shape the North America regional incentive compensation development priorities by leading the assessment of new IC ideas and overseeing governance across all programs
Evaluate incentive compensation program and policy direction for effectiveness
Deliver recommendations to senior leadership on IC design and direction
Work with PX, Global Compensation & Legal/Compliance to ensure incentive and reward programs are consistent, fair, and aligned with Pfizer's global compensation strategy
Ensure all plan designs are communicated accurately to maximize comprehension and engagement
Advise senior leadership on potential compliance risks and recommend appropriate action plans
Prepare summaries of legal concerns related to Corporate Compliance guidelines and government inquiries
QUALIFICATIONS
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field with 10+ years of experience in sales, sales incentives, sales operations, sales analytics, marketing, consulting; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA strongly desired.
The ideal candidate will possess expertise within the Incentive Compensation construct; is someone who is excited by working on complex business issues; and is able to find creative options and innovative solutions in a constantly changing environment.
Proven ability to provide leadership in a team based and matrix environment without direct authority and through influence
5+ years experience designing incentive programs in a global or country setting
Industry/functional knowledge
Proven understanding of business strategy and promotional practices in the pharmaceutical industry
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Experience with framing and guiding problem solving to inform decision making
Effective communication & influencing skills
Proven ability to build relationships with key internal and external leaders to achieve consensus or negotiate through difficult and complex challenges
Ability to manage teams and leaders to conclusions
Strategic & innovative thinking
Ability to develop clear perspectives on business opportunities and challenges and to articulate a strong vision of how Incentive compensation plans can be used to capitalize on opportunities
Ability to cope with change and ambiguity
Demonstrated ability to act decisively in the absence of complete information and be comfortable with appropriate risk
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with advising senior stakeholders
Experience with new launches as well as established or post-LOE products
Project management to successfully achieve milestones and deliverables
Reasonable financial acumen

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $149,200.00 to $248,600.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. The annual base salary for this position in Tampa, FL ranges from $134,300.00 to $223,800.00.Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and/or eligibility.
