Position Summary The Receiving/Inbound Manager is responsible for the daily activities and the overall performance of the Receiving/Inbound team.This exciting position has oversight for the Receiving and Inventory Control Team activities, which include staffing, ensuring production and operational goals are met, creating innovative strategies to enhance performance to maximum utilization of manpower and equipment, and reviewing and analyzing production, quality, and other operational reports to ensure high levels of service to Store Operations.The position is also responsible for preparing departmental budgets, control expenditures, overseeing adherence to company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner, ensuring proper mentoring of the supervisory staff, with an emphasis on team building, communication, performance accountability, and positive employee relations management. The Production Manager will also promote and reinforce safety, security awareness, and compliance among the supervisory team and non-exempt associates.What you will do
Plan, organize, schedule, forecast, and coordinate receiving and put away work in order to meet production schedules and operational goals
Analyze and implement staffing models to maximize capacity, thruput with the goal of meeting production and shipping goals
Implement and adhere 100% to all inventory control, compliance and quality standards/SOPs set forth by the company
Strive to deliver all performance metrics in the receiving, inventory control and quality control value streams
Review/analyze production, quality, and other operational reports, initiating changes, as needed, to ensure a high level of service to store operations
Develop and implement plans, procedures, programs, and strategies to enhance performance, service level, and cost-per-piece
Prepare departmental budget and control expenditures against approved budget
Administer policies/procedures in a fair and consistent manner
Professionally address issues with employees utilizing the proper company policies, guidelines and resources
Develop an accountable supervisory staff with an emphasis on teambuilding, communication, performance accountability, and positive employee relations management
Ensure maximum utilization of manpower and equipment
Promote and reinforce safety and security awareness and compliance among the supervisory staff and hourly employee groups
Plan, organize, direct, control, and manage the daily activities of assigned multi-shift functional areas within the distribution center
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of prior management experience in a distribution/manufacturing/Production environment
Minimum 3 years managing inventory control functions within a Distribution Center/Warehouse
Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Management
Functional Knowledge and transactional experience with WMS systems
Experience managing Exempt colleagues
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees
Ability to multitask and collaborate in a fast-paced cross functional environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree
Demonstrated leadership abilities
Ability to analyze information effectively and consistently
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$63,300.00 - $139,200.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
