The Imaging Record Services role is responsible for creating, retrieving and maintaining patient radiology files while also providing clerical support in an efficient and professional manner.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate interpersonal skills.
Process and complete legal authorization requests of imaging records.
Establish and maintain an atmosphere of caring and support for patients, visitors, medical staff and co-workers.
Actively seek service recovery solutions that resolve customer complaints and communicate each occurrence with the supervisor.
Manage difficult or emotional customer complaints and communicate each occurrence with the supervisor.
Communicate effectively and concisely with all members of the healthcare team, verbally and in writing.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, family members, physicians, and staff.
Listen to and address patient concerns.
Solicit questions to ensure understanding in a manner that preserves the patient's dignity.
Maintain appropriate non-verbals and speak in a welcoming and caring tone.
Maintain the operations and organization of imaging data including imaging data protocol preparation and tracking of all patient files.
Ensure the availability of imaging files requested by all healthcare team customers.
Provide CDs for customers or healthcare team via Stentor.
Exhibiting time management skills, prioritizing and organizing multiple duties, in a constantly changing environment.
Accept and support change.
Available for duty according to department guidelines for unscheduled absences, punctuality and manpower requirements.
Contribute to team spirit by assisting co-workers and offering assistance on an ongoing basis.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimal typing skills required.
Must demonstrate good organizational skills.
