Description:
The Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Analyst supports the ILS Team (Engineers, Technical Writers, Technical Artists, Managers, and Director) with tasking related to the sustainment of systems throughout their life cycle and other taskings as assigned. ILS Analyst reliably prepares information for inclusion to the ILS Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) documents for submittal to the government.

Adhere to the organization of ILS data in content management (CM) database and abide by CM processes
Obtain and provide supporting documentation of ILS component provisioning information which produces downstream reports such as: Source of Supply, Selected Item Drawings, Marking Plan, and others
Update spares information in the database with the latest technical data provided by engineering
Prepare ILS CDRLs and ensure they are processed on time
Support the ILS Engineers with administrative duties such as preparing presentations, attending meetings, and answering questions
Provide concise and actionable communication with sound reasoning to the Technical Writers and Artists that create Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals for hardware procured by the Department of Defense.
Analyze component data and understand connections between component data and its impact on downstream reporting
Update metrics to reflect status of projects
Provide provisioning support with respect to Lowest Replaceable Unit (LRU) data and maintain status of Diminishing Material Supply and Material Shortages (DMSMS) for LRUs
Review safety considerations for products and prepare various safety analyses
Analyze contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts and pursuit efforts to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements

Day to Day Duties:
• Able to review engineering drawings and identify key point with the purpose of writing a manual
• Analyzing information to give technical input to tech writer
• Working collaboratively with Engineer for any questions they may need to answer for the technical writer
• Less about generating reports and deducing information, critical thinking and problem solving heavy
• The ability to look at a stack of engineering drawings and conceptualize how to take it apart and put it back together, revealing any real life obstacles, errors and ergonomics
