Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Hydrogeology Director to join our well established and growing Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) / Geotechnical department in the Southeast region of the United States. As a key member of our CCR staff, candidate will be working on rewarding projects throughout the southeastern United States within a diverse culture and having access to exceptional training and career development opportunities.
AECOM is searching for an individual with analytical and numerical groundwater flow and solute transport modeling background to add to our groundwater team. The Leadership team is searching for candidates with experience in the CCR market that are a leader and role model, client-focused, impactful and decisive.

In this role, you will support the design of various CCR disposal facilities, earthen dams, bridges, retaining walls, roadways, and other geotechnical, civil, and remediation projects.
The job responsibilities for the position will include but are not limited to:
Provide leadership to the team in place. Posses a strong groundwater modeling resume and have a background of leading hydrogeologic investigations at large, complex sites demonstrating history in the development of remedial strategies and closure:
Provide statistical analysis of hydrogeologic data, well-field design, installations, contaminant fate and transport analyses, groundwater modeling using MODFLOW, MODFLOW-USG, FEFLOW, PEST, MT3D, RT3D, and MODPATH (SEAWAT and FEFLOW desired but not necessary)
Understanding of LNAPL modeling; decision tree development; and preparation of feasibility studies and remedial action plans.
Participate in client and agency meetings and teleconferences and should be highly skilled in technical presentations and advocacy discussions.
Familiar with the geology/hydrogeology of various environments including sedimentary and fractured rock settings, statistical analyses of groundwater data, groundwater modeling and DNAPL/LNAPL investigations.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS + 12 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership
Experience in CCR and Hydrogeology related projects
PE in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, or the ability to obtain a license by reciprocity
Ability to travel within the Southeastern United States to visit team locations, client sites and regulatory agencies
Valid U.S Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
13+ years of progressive Hydrogeology experience.
15+ Years of related project experience in Civil design, CCR or Geotechnical Engineering projects related to solid waste disposal, CCR management, dams and impoundments.
Business Development and Client Relationship Management experience
Experience as a technical contributor on general civil and/or remediation projects.
Ability to proactively assist in technical efforts and project team staff.
Experience on large scale projects.
Experience with storage tank, manufactured gas plant, renewable energy, landfill, and/or air projects.
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training certification.
Construction 30 certification
Significant experience working in the capacity of a project manager and client contact.
Experience and confidence to work independently to produce high quality deliverables on time and on budget.

Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $145,000-195,000 annual.
