DescriptionThe Office of Health Services Research in the School of Public Health at West Virginia University Research Corporation is currently accepting applications for a hybrid Program Coordinator.About the OpportunityAs a Program Coordinator, you will assist the Office of Health Services Research (OHSR) with implementing a clinic/community-based cardiovascular disease focused initiative. You will also assist with completion of our contractual obligations, grants, and service agreements. These responsibilities include completing grant deliverables designed to help improve health outcomes for individuals with several chronic disease conditions, such as cardiovascular disease (e.g., hypertension and high cholesterol). This includes, but is not limited to, peer-reviewed publication, federal reporting, and data sharing through poster/oral presentations at conferences.Assist with other grant and contract deliverables as identified.QualificationsMaster's degree preferred in social science/public health or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.A minimum of two (2) years of experience in public health programming/implementation, primary healthcare delivery, program coordination, community interventions and/or public health research, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse types of people.Skilled in public speaking; must be able to communicate effectively and explain relatively advanced concepts, procedures, and policies to others.Skilled in staff training and development.General knowledge of ethical considerations for quality improvement and community-based initiatives.Ability to create, annotate, and maintain detailed records.Demonstrated ability to operate a computer utilizing various software packages, including creating spreadsheets, charts, graphs, etc.General knowledge of research methods and research protocols.Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
