Position Summary/Description:
Early Psychosis Interventions in North Carolina ( EPI -NC) provides technical assistance and clinical training, quality improvement data collection and analysis and fidelity monitoring to First Episode Psychosis Coordinated Specialty Care Programs ( FEP CSS ) in North Carolina. EPI -NC also performs community outreach and education with the aim of reducing duration of untreated psychosis and works with the Programs to implement new, evidenced based interventions. Early Psychosis Interventions in North Carolina ( EPI -NC) provides consultation to the NC Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse Services on the developmental and implementation of clinical services to youth recovering from first episode psychosis. OASIS is a Coordinated Care Service provider for youth recovering from first episode psychosis.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical assistance and consultative work to FEP - CSS programs served by EPI -NC. The person in this position will develop the Fidelity Guidelines related to Peer Support services, and train and mentor peer support specialists and their clinical supervisors in the delivery of these services. Specific duties also include developing Peer Support Services training materials and a Peer Support Treatment manual and training peer support specialist in the delivery of peer support services to FEP clients. The person in this position would act as a moderator for the Horyzons web-based platform. This position also involves leading regularly scheduled conference calls with peer support specialists. Work also involves developing assessment tools/data collection methods related to the to-be developed Fidelity Guidelines and integrating these with patient care and administrative records systems in order to identify service delivery and compliance problems.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a related Human Services discipline and three years of experience related to the area of assignment, or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
