What you'll do The Human Resources Specialist will deliver an exceptional HR experience for our caregivers and practitioners across the Bassett Healthcare Network by responding to questions that come in via various contact channels – phone, email and chat. The HR Specialist enjoys working in a goal and growth-driven environment, supporting needs across all facets of HR. Working collaboratively with the HR Business Partner and HR team members across Bassett Healthcare Network, the HR Specialist will also deliver on functions to achieve a well-organized Human Resources Department. Serves as a first point of contact to respond to employee requests, including forwarding employee questions to the appropriate person in a timely manner. Escalates broken processes and employee experiences. Continuously focuses on finding new ways to improve the employee experience and speed of resolution. In partnership with the HR Business Partner team, works to identify and eliminate barriers to accuracy, productivity, and quality. Supports the HR Business Partner team with educating on policies. Supports the HR Business Partner team with any special (ad hoc) projects that require additional assistance. Identifies caregiver-impacting issues and implements solutions to increase satisfaction and improve the experience. Participates in cross-functional process improvement initiatives as required. Keeps the HR Business Partner team informed on all on-going or developing projects or programs that have an employee impact. Prepares appropriate paperwork and processes for employee status changes. Supports Talent Acquisition with completion of any network transfer processes. Creates and maintains employee files. Prepares and reviews reports upon request. Assists with internal audits. Assists with compliance tracking. Tracks HR reporting metrics, including evaluations, orientation checklists, and new hire data. Works in a fast-paced operational environment and employs rapid, accurate judgement in the face of ambiguity or broken processes. Manages confidential and sensitive employee information and adheres to strict data privacy standards. Serves as back up as necessary. Orders and restocks supplies as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. What we need from you Education: High School Diploma or GED, preferred 2 year/Associates Degree in related field, preferred 4 year/Bachelor's Degree in related field, preferred Experience: Minimum 2 years Human Resources experience, required Associate or Bachelor degree accepted in lieu of 2 years prior HR experience Minimum 2 years healthcare experience, preferred Skills: Attention to Detail Build Relationships Communication Customer Service Multi-Tasking Time Management Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. This position is eligible for a sign on bonus up to: USD $10,000.00 Pay Range Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. Pay Range Minimum: USD $21.11/Hr. Pay Range Maximum: USD $31.67/Hr.
