  Transit Human Resources Representative needed at El Cajon, CA.

  Transdev is actively seeking Human Resources Representative at our El Cajon location.

  Responsibilities:

  The main responsibility of the HR Representative is to provide administrative support to human resources function as needed (e.g. recruitment and employment process, payroll, record keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry and others).

  Responsible for daily administrative tasks of the human resources department including filing active/terms, I9, faxing, copying, and organizing departmental files.

  Assist on site Recruiter- Interviews, offers, walk ins, new hire orientation.

  Maintain and update all required forms dealing with but not limited to recruitment flyers, HR Board, employment & wage verifications, unemployment claims and subpoenas.

  All data entry for HRIS- ADP

  Responsible for company employee activities, monthly birthday list/celebration, company newsletter

  Liaison between employee and HR Generalist for all leave of absences

  Assist with day-to-day HR operation.

  Serves as back up to Recruiter.

  Other duties as required.

  QUALIFICATIONS

  Education, Licensing, and Certifications:

  High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required.Experience:

  1 to 2 years of relevant human resource experienceSkills and Knowledge Required:

  Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  Ability to read, understand, and interpret instructions, policies, and procedures.

  Strong written and oral communication skills; strong presentation skills

  HRIS- ADP experience is a plus.

  Must have the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships.

  Requires the ability to work amid constant interruptions and the ability to prioritize and deal with time pressures.

  Bilingual English and Spanish- preferred

  Travel requirement (50%): Commute between Chula Vista and El Cajon office as needed.

  Pre-Employment Requirements:

  Must submit to drug testing and a background check.

  Physical Requirements:

  Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

  100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.

  Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.

  The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.

  Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical examination including a drug test.

  Tools, Equipment and Vehicles Used:

  Computer, printer/copier, telephone, fax, automobile

  Unique Working Conditions:

  May work occasional weekends.
