Job DescriptionPrimary Job Duties:
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified jobapplicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers tounderstand skills and competencies required for openings and tracking of newpossible candidates.Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.Prepares new-employee files and benefit enrollment packets.Administer/provide employee support for the benefit plans, includingenrollments, changes and terminations.Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resourceprograms including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave;disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talentmanagement; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational healthand safety; and training and development.Administer the FMLA, STD, LTD and other leaves of absence.Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, andsupervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriatestafAttends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations,and investigations.Execute all employee termination procedures, including advising employees ontheir rights and any benefits they are entitled to.Maintain records of personnel-related data in both paper and the database andensure all employment requirements are met including ISO personnel relateddocumentation.Completes special human resources projects including setting timetables andschedules, conducting research, developing and organizing information;and analyzing time and cost issues; preparing reports.Complies with legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation;anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advisingmanagement on needed actions.Assist supervisors in performance management procedures.Provide guidance and support to local managers on performance management withthe aim of preventing employee concerns.Develop employee training and development programs.Coordinates the administration of employee safety, occupational health,security, and workers compensation programs; Ensures compliance with allfederal, state, and local safety regulations.
Skills:
Proven experience as an HR coordinator or relevant humanresources/administrative positionKnowledge of human resources processes and best practicesIn-depth understanding of sourcing tools, like resume databases and onlinecommunitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS andtalent management systems.Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required.Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or arelated field preferred.At least two years of human resource management experience.SHRM-CP a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be a le to lift 25 pounds at times.Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization'sfacilities.
Starting salary range $60,000 to $65,000 per year
