In this role, the primary focus is to deliver strategic and operational leadership for the HR department within the Monterrey, Mexico manufacturing team.
The responsibilities for this role include:
Managing the authorized profit plan for the department, overseeing monthly expenses, budget management, and account management.Administering and promoting inclusion and diversity, talent development, and talent acquisition. Collaborating with the staff to enhance employee engagement and contribute to the local community.Representing the organization in all legal and governmental activities when necessary, working closely with the company attorney.Overseeing the maintenance of human resources information systems to ensure data integrity and alignment with both Mexican and US HRI systems.Providing guidance to senior management regarding the implications of changes in management policies or programs, economic trends, and product or production method changes.Supporting environmental policy ISO14001 and quality policy ISO9000 to ensure compliance with established procedures.Ensuring that the plant complies with all relevant employment legislation, including both US and Mexican laws, and adheres to plant and corporate company policies.Providing support and advice to plant management and employees regarding company policies and employment laws in both the US and Mexico.Fostering a positive employee relations climate in the plant through the implementation of Eaton's Human Resources Operational Reviews.Leading and enhancing training and development processes, including conducting needs analysis, designing and delivering training programs, and fostering development initiatives.Ensuring organizational practices align with the Eaton Philosophy.Managing salary and wage processes, including benchmarking within Eaton and against external marketplace data. Additionally, administering compensation programs to ensure competitive pay practices that reward superior employee performance.Ensuring proper and effective personnel administration and reporting, both as required by Eaton and externally.Introducing and implementing HR policies and procedures, including performance management processes (APEX), in alignment with Eaton standards.Overseeing the performance management system (APEX) to ensure that annual employee job performance assessments are conducted. This includes the annual goal setting process, the annual assessment process, and periodic feedback sessions aimed at raising the performance bar in the organization.Providing leadership, management, coaching, and development to staff.Continuously supporting the education and cross-training of all subordinates.Supporting corporate programs for cost savings and other service improvements.Promoting environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and industrial security activities.Contributing to the success of the implementation of MESH and working towards achieving the recordable incident rate goal.Maintaining HR Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as Headcount, turnover, attendance, absenteeism, and more.Performing other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field. A Master's Degree and experience working with the community and coaching are preferred.7+ years of experience managing human resources in the manufacturing environment.Technical knowledge, including experience in compensation and benefits management, the ability to conduct market surveys and analysis, proficiency in policy, procedure, process, and HR metrics administration, expertise in organizational development and team administration, in-depth knowledge of employment laws in Mexico, bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (speaking, reading, and writing), effective communication skills at all levels, knowledge of the Tress System (desired), proficiency in Microsoft Office, and 90% proficiency in English.
