SUMMARY
Responsible for providing a variety of Human Resources services, such as recruiting, staffing, work flow, employee services and employee relations; duties. Each of these responsibilities will be supported by the HR staff from TGMO, based on TGMO administration, employment guidelines and policies. This position will ensure compliance with all legal and corporate guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Interviews and selects applicants to match skill of the job opening.
Employee relation activities, planning for people control and morale activities for employees.
Develops and coaches- supervisors/managers on Human Resources related issues.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations (ADA, FMLA, COBRA, etc.).
Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt, non-exempt personnel, students and temporary employees; monitors career pathing, writes and places advertisements.
Conducts new employee orientations, monitors career pathing program, writes and places advertisements.
Handles employee relations counseling and exit interviews.
Participates in administrative staff meetings, attends other meetings and seminars.
Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Maintains Human Resources information system records and compiles reports from database.
Participates in salary surveys and assists in updating wage and salary schedules.
Investigates and resolves employee grievances and coordinates processes responding to employee complaints.
Coordinates with departments to develop job descriptions for all positions within the company.
Prepares correspondence, spreadsheets and other documents as needed.
Training of all new hires, follow up with new hires, preparation of any materials and documentation or records.
Assistance in distribution of or questions regarding payroll which will be processed from TGMO.
Security functions including badges, gates, fencing, etc., in conjunction with TGMO staff.
Develops and assists with special projects as needed or assigned.
Assists with petty cash A/C and reports to TGMO Accounting Department periodically.
Maintains good corporate citizenship in community.
Participates company-sponsored events such as volunteer activities (holiday party, picnic).
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous HR experience is recommended due to the nature of this position.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel. Experience with HR Software for onboarding and recruiting preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. The pace of this job is very fast and requires flexibility and solid decision-making capabilities. Must reference senior staff at TGMO on issues for consistency.

PHR recommended, but not required.
