THE ROLE
The Director, Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for driving key HR initiatives at the Hunt Valley, Maryland Manufacturing Facility and for North America Corporate Supply Chain Teams as assigned. This role supports 250 employees at multiple locations and reports directly to the VP HR North America with dotted line to the Plant General Manager.
In this role you will be responsible to:
Lead key HR initiatives including; staffing, performance management, organization design and planning, compensation planning, talent development and employee relations. Participate in business planning and ensure alignment of HR delivery with business goals at the site. Establish objectives and deliver the HR strategy for the attainment of the company's vision and objectives. Support managers and teams in business delivery through enhancing their capability to deliver the company's objectives, manage their people, implement change, and build relations with key stakeholders. This includes people aspects of furthering the site as a World Class Manufacturing and HR strategy, particularly the training, learning and educational strategy. As an employee advocate, the HRBP plays an integral role in organizational success through knowledge and advocacy of people. Fostering effective methods of goal setting, communication, and empowerment through responsibility, the HRBP builds employee ownership of the organization by establishing the organizational culture and climate in which people have the competency, concern, and commitment to business success. Partner with assigned groups on initiatives including participation in the diversity agenda, high performance culture, organizational design & change, learning & development, employer branding. Serve on Site Leadership Team and proactively consult with the senior leaders on employee, managerial, organizational and business issues, working with various team members to bring effective and beneficial solutions. Participate in the ideation and organization of employee events related to HR strategic initiatives (diversity, talent development, morale etc.) Oversight of temporary staffing contract with approximately 125 on site. Employ budget-conscious mindset and apply creative solutions to ensure cost-effectiveness across all HR activities. Participate and/or lead North America HR projects. Instill client service mindset in all HR activities with a business-focused approach
QUALIFICATIONS
We'd love to see candidates that have:
Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field. Minimum of 10+ years of HRBP experience Working understanding of employment law and other government compliance regulations Excellent critical and strategic thinking abilities Well-developed organizational and interpersonal business skills Leadership maturity and excellent emotional intelligence Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed environment Ability to solve problems creatively utilizing superior judgment Ability to direct and influence change Ability to collaborate with leaders to drive change in the culture and management practices Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products; specifically Word, Excel & PowerPoint
