About Human Resources Business Partner Staff

  Description: The individual selected for this Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems position will have human resources business partner (HRBP) responsibility for designing and driving human capital initiatives to align with business objectives for RMS Supply Chain assigned client groups.

  The HRBP serves as a consultant to leadership on human resource-related issues and acts as an employee champion and change agent. The HRBP assesses and anticipates human capital requirements and opportunities, partnering with functional experts to develop and implement integrated solutions.

  The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business units’ financial position, strategic plans, culture and competition. This is a hands-on role, requiring skills in both tactical and strategic Human Resources. Success in the position requires a track record of excellent judgment, strategic thinking, influencing skills, and results orientation.

  Critical to this role are: the capability to gain the trust and respect of executive leadership and employees while pursuing positive organizational goals and objectives, and the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with both HR business partners and Center of Excellence (COE) staff at multiple sites.

  The successful candidate will partner with the RMS Supply Chain leadership team to align HR objectives and initiatives to the business needs within Supply Chain. The candidate will be an integral part of the team and will be instrumental in executing key HR deliverables such as talent acquisition and development, employee engagement and retention, diversity, salary planning, and organizational design.

  Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  - Model and coaching the HR team in the delivery of HR services, processes and strategic activities.

  - Drive the creation and implementation of projects and initiatives aligned to maximizing value and advancing the client’s strategy.

  - Take initiative to streamline and integrate initiatives for affordability, efficiency and impact.

  - Provide client group support for a portion of the RMS Operations Function.

  - Have excellent problem-solving skills and thrive in an environment of continual change ensuring the successful execution of all HR initiatives.

  - Lead and facilitate change initiatives with HR consultation skills.

  - Delivering pro-active advice and counsel to leaders, while maintaining integrity with HR policy and practice while also seeking creative solutions to problems.

  - Identifying and addressing employee relations issues promptly.

  - Providing HR support topics such as talent acquisition, talent assessment and development, performance management, workplace investigations, selection and leadership readiness.

  - Advice and counsel managers on a variety of topics to optimize employee engagement, team development, and organizational effectiveness.

  Basic Qualifications:

  - Demonstrated knowledge of the field/discipline of Human Resources practices, processes, and regulations.

  - Demonstrated ability and experience coaching executives, leaders, and employees; Ability to advise and collaborate with key stakeholders.

  - Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive conflict, and manage interpersonal dynamics.

  - Demonstrated experience managing employee relations issues, disciplinary process and investigations.

  - Strong capability to anticipate client needs and proactively identify areas for collaboration and integration inside and outside the HR organization.

  - Willingness to travel to various geographic locations as required.

  - Eight years of increasingly responsible experience or an equivalent combination of post graduate education and experience, in human resources, preferably including staff management. Considered emerging authority.

  - Willingness to travel; This role can be conducted virtual with 10-20% travel to various geographic locations

  Desired Skills:

  - Demonstrated experience developing broad and coordinated strategic workforce management plans.

  - Broad human resource background, including experience in one or more Centers of Excellence (COE).

  - Demonstrated experience delivering results for the business in partnership with Human Resource’s Centers of Excellence, corresponding Human Resource’s Business Partners, and other organizations as needed.

  - Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders using multiple methods based on context.

  - Experience interfacing with a variety of employee levels, including executives.

  - Experience in change management, driving change throughout an organization or leading a change effort.

  - Current government contractor HR experience.

  Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

  Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

  Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

  Pay Rate:

  The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $91,300 - $175,000 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

  Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.

  (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

  This position is incentive plan eligible.

  Pay Rate:

  The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $105,000 - $197,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
