Human Resource Vertical Risk Advisor
The Human Resource Vertical Risk Advisor (HR VRA) will support the Human Resource Business Partner aligned to the Velocity Black(VB) business and provide day to day risk support across all facets of the Enterprise Risk Management framework. Notably, the HR VRA will work closely with the HRBP and the Human Resources UK Risk Team to align on roles and responsibilities to ensure comprehensive delivery of HR risk activities for Velocity Black (e.g. risk assessment, risk aggregation and risk reporting). The HR VRA will also partner with the UK HR team, Legal and Compliance to ensure adherence with all applicable US and UK Employment and Privacy laws and ensure the Risk Management System of record, FUSE, accurately reflects process applicability and the control environment.
Expected VRA Deliverables and Results
Immediate deliverable: develop a sustainable, scalable General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Compliance Program for Velocity Black to include VB's obligations as a Controller of workforce data
Ongoing Vertical Risk Advisor Support will include single point of contact for the HRBP aligned to VB business to include the following:Velocity Black (VB) HR Risk Assessments of new or changing intent (For Example: VB compensation strategies, expansion into new markets, new HR vendors); accountable for partnering with UK HR to ensure new intent is assessed through appropriate forumsVelocity Black (VB) HR Regulatory applicability: Partner with UK HR, Legal and Compliance to review and update regulatory applicabilityVelocity Black (VB) HR Controls: identify and document appropriate controls, which are unique to VB and document in the Risk Management system of record, FUSEVelocity Black (VB) HR Issues & Events: Provide support for VB HR Issues & Events; ensure adherence to Enterprise Risk Management standards and expectationsVelocity Black (VB) HR Policies, Standards & Procedures: Support VB HR Policies through documentation in accordance with the Corporate Policy Office expectations and maintained in the compliance and reporting platform (Wdesk)Velocity Black (VB) Audits & Exams: Support for VB related audits and exams where there is an intersection with HR; partner with HR UK as appropriateInteraction Model across LOD: Partner with Enterprise Risk Management and Operational Risk Management to determine appropriate interaction model with VB and 2nd and 3rd Line of DefenseRegulatory Changes Impacting Velocity Black (VB): Partner with UK HR, Legal and Compliance to assess impact of regulatory changes to both employment and privacy laws; document implementations plans, as appropriate to demonstrate compliance with requirementsMaintain Velocity Black (VB) Program documentation, including policy exceptions implemented as part LD1 (For Example: Performance Management, Compensation, etc.)GDPR Program Support: Lead efforts to respond to workforce data requirements as needed by the GDPR Program (For Example: DSR Requests, ROPA Reviews, DPIA Assessments, etc.)
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificationAt least 5 years of risk management experience or at least 5 years of human resource experienceAt least 2 years of process management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree7+ years of Human Resource experience5+ years of experience in process management3+ years of experience supporting, partnering, and interacting with key stakeholders or internal business partners2+ years of experience influencing senior leadershipAgile or Design Thinking experienceExperience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance software toolsExperience in controls development, controls management, and reporting activitiesKnowledge of Global Privacy Laws, specifically General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
