GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position provides advanced mental health services in various settings for an adult population and collaborates with other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary approach to caring for patients.
The city of Evanston is a small and friendly Rocky Mountain community that is a 45-minute drive from the world-famous ski slopes of Park City, Utah. Concerts, shopping, dining, professional sporting events, and an international airport 60 minutes away in Salt Lake City. Evanston's area is excellent for recreational activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, biking, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level.
Provides psychological evaluation for purposes of admission screening, treatment planning, diagnostic clarification, readiness for discharge and community placement, guardianship, and as required to determine eligibility for other services.
Diagnoses and treats mental and emotional disorders. Treatment includes individual, group, and family therapies and may involve a number of different formats, such as the use of cognitive-behavioral treatment techniques.
Provides and interprets psychological testing, including the evaluation of mental illness, intelligence, personality, and neuropsychological functioning.
Confers with interdisciplinary care teams to discuss, plan, and determine the course of action in patient/client care.
Designs, constructs, installs, and implements treatment programs for a treatment unit, section, or group.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Preference may be given to those with the ability to complete multiple psychological assessments and the understanding and treatment of individuals with serious, persistent mental illness.
KNOWLEDGE:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures of general and/or institutional psychiatry and sub-specialty areas for the care and treatment of individuals with mental illness.
Knowledge of human behaviors and performance.
Knowledge of individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation.
Knowledge of psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
PsyD or Ph. D. in Psychology
Experience:
2-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Psychology) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Psychology Services Analyst
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Psychologist in the State of Wyoming

Physical ability to lift, twist, bend, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.NOTES:

Drug testing will be completed on any position if reasonable suspicion exists. A current Influenza Vaccination is required.
