ABOUT THIS ROLE
Our Audible International HR Team is looking for an exceptional People Operations Partner to support our European teams. In this position you will be based in Berlin and oversee the administration of the day-to-day functions within the European HR team that supports DE, FR, IT, ES, and occasionally UK employees.
You support our teams as a People Operations subject matter expert, covering payroll, HR administration & HR data systems queries (activities). You act as the front line consultant to our HR teams and support engagement with employees to create a positive employee experience, based on the excellence of our operational activities.
This role is initially open for a 24-month contract and is based in Berlin.

As a People Operations Partner, you will...
- Act as a first point of contact for Europe employees' queries and provide ongoing advice and support to employees, interpret policies and procedures and apply judgment of application for their business
- Promote the use of HR Shared Services for all EU HR queries and only provide support on non-routine inquiries from employees and people managers
- Oversee/manage all internal HR operations workflows & processes in partnership with Amazon HR Services. Ensure compliance and data accuracy in all HRIS tools (People Soft & Workday)
- Fully own all HR operations related matters that cannot be managed within Shared Services, e.g. reference letters, internal mobility support, or other non-routine processes
- Constantly look for opportunities to reduce frequently asked questions related to policies and procedures and propose and implement improvements
- Support the UK based HR team with HR Operational requests when required, e.g. employment contract creation, system on-boarding, data changes, off-boarding, etc
- Engage with EU new hires beginning with New Joiner Welcome & Orientation sessions and all new hire administrative requirements to a seamless on-boarding experience
- Carry-out payroll audits and work closely with the Amazon Payroll team to ensure an accurate and timely payment of all employees
- Enter and maintain Workday data and run regular audits to ensure data integrity & consistency
- Manage HR reporting requirements for the EU and UK teams
- Support HR projects for the International HRBP team

Basic Qualifications
- Practical experience auditing and updating data in HR Systems
- 3+ years experience in Payroll, HR Systems and/or HR administration in Germany preferably in a corporate environment with experience of other territories, ideally UK
- University degree in Human Resources, business studies or any other related field
- DE Employment Law knowledge preferable
- Excellent written and spoken German and English language skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Peopesoft and/or Workday
- Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to handle, prioritize and deliver on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- First experience working on HR administration topics in UK
