Job Description Primary Function of this Position
Reporting directly to the Intuitive Japan HR Director, this position serves as an HR Partner for the Intuitive Japan business, and is responsible for client support, consulting, and operational execution across a variety of HR functional domains. This individual will be part of the Japan HR team and work in close partnership with not only Japanese colleagues but also regional peers, and Global COE and HR colleagues to support the continued development and growth of the Japan organization. This individual will be responsible to deliver talent programs and inititiaves (acquisition/onboarding, lifecycle, development, succession), people engagement, systems & operational solutions aligned the goals of the country and global HR function, and comply with the local labor laws.
Roles and Responsibilities:
In collaboration with line managers, build a positive employee environment that emphasizes Intuitive’s culture, core values, and individual and leadership expectations. Act as a advisor, coach, and counsel to line managers and employees. Partner with line managers and your manager to identify, develop and deliver effective talent and organizational development strategies to support the business. Work closely with line managers and provide them with expert guidance, coaching and support on the full range of HR activities and change processes Work with global and regional HR centers of expertise to provide guidance and support in establishing and/or adopting and deploying globally aligned and locally relevant employment contracts, compensation and benefits, and talent management practices. Collaborate with global and regional talent management to contextualize and implement training programs to meet business strategies. Execute the administration of and provide guidance on HR & talent programs: merit, performance review, performance improvement, talent planning, talent development, succession planning, etc. Provide ongoing coaching and development feedback to line managers and individual contributors. Ensure HR compliance with local labor laws. Promote an effective employee and labor relations environment and advise leaders with subject matter expertise. Develop and execute business enabling solutions by collecting and analyzing information, recommending courses of action, and seeing through delivery and results. Participate and lead various HR projects in recruiting, performance management, programs and policies development and implementation, etc. Actively leverages data and dashboards to assess trends, identify issues, themes and framing of data driven solutions. Participates and helps lead/implement HR operations and transformation plans – understands HR lifecycle end to end processes, is systems and applications savvy and can support project, program, and systems implementation along with leveraging solid change management principles and planning for organizational adoption of change. Qualifications Skill/Job Requirements:
Minimum 7-10 years of Human Resources experience and career progression in an international, fast growing and matrixed environment; healthcare or technology company preferred; Minimum Masters / MBA degree preferred. Employee and labor relations and performance management and improvement consulting experience. Exposure to HR Operations, Systems and Payroll services/management desireable. Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgement that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, or government law. Analytical and conceptual thinking skills; ability to support recommendations through data and analysis. Ability to remain focused with strong attention to detail, and deliver exceptional quality work. Ability to balance local requirements with functional and/or corporate objectives. Comfort with analyzing applicable unit and employee related data to make sound recommendations/decisions Exceptional communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build trust, credibility, and strong, productive relationships. Excellent organizational and project/program management skills. Familiarity and comfort in working in a highly matrixed organization Proven ability to work positively, collaboratively, and professionally within a team and across a global organization. Ability to objectively coach employees and line manages through complex, difficult, and emotional issues. High integrity and trust and the ability to manage complex and sensitive information confidentially and effectively High change agility, openness to new ideas, savvy communication ability Organizational development and change management projects preferred Working knowledge of country labor laws and practices.
