Overview & Responsibilities:
The HR Manager (HR Business Partner) plays a key role in translating business objectives into actionable HR & talent initiatives, working alongside managers on all aspects of people management, while also contributing to HR program development and division-wide employee communications. Reporting to the Vice President of HR, you will provide solutions-focused HR guidance and best practices to help our business unit achieve its goals. You will work collaboratively with the HRBP team and internal centers of excellence to build and craft programs that impact culture, belonging, engagement and development. You will help the team attract and hire great talent, develop high-potential employees, and build an excellent place to work and grow.

Our clients work on driving revenue through advertising sales across the Paramount suite including Sports, Digital, Broadcast, Cable and Branded Content. You will be part of our excellent HR team who are well-regarded across the division as reliable, fair, and fun partners! Work closely with assigned business unit leadership and staff on all HR needs from hiring and onboarding top talent to thinking critically about their organizational structure and helping employees achieve their highest potential. Advise on best practices and provide solutions-focused HR guidance to drive performance excellence at the individual and team level Partner with managers to understand the people implications to business challenges, initiatives and goals and determine solutions that contribute to success. Review and analyze HR and business data to find opportunities and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience. Leverage data to assess progress and impact of solutions. Handle employee relations issues; coach and counsel employees on career development, skill development and interpersonal relationships. Mediate and resolve conflicts. Support managers' efforts to provide employees with feedback both oral and written; draft/co-author speaking points, development plans and disciplinary memos. Partner with managers on termination actions. Partner with employment law, and our central investigation teams as appropriate; ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and practices. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Finance, Compensation, and business leaders on business unit hiring needs. Advise on, and guide managers through, the talent acquisition process. Secure hiring approvals, craft job descriptions, and develop compensation ranges. Work collaboratively with TA and hiring managers to identify search challenges and make appropriate adjustments in real time. Leverage the broader HR infrastructure/community within Paramount Global to solve problems for employees and share solutions. Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions, and job leveling Champion diversity initiatives that drive inclusion and belonging for all staff Work with business leaders to provide timely and effective communication to their teams on a regular basis Interpret and implement HR policies, practices, and procedures when questions arise partnering with HR Centers of Excellence and directing employees to our AskHR team as appropriate In partnership with our internal communications team, develop and customize employee communications with an eye towards transparency, inclusion, simplicity, and impact Working collaboratively with internal centers of excellence, develop new programs and help shape existing ones to support DEI, Culture, Learning, and Talent Development across Paramount Advertising Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree At least 4 years of HR Business Partner experience in a professional environment where integrity and customer service is paramount; proficient in all subject areas of the HR function and current in emerging talent practices and developments. Additional Qualifications: 2 years with program development and employee communications preferred Demonstrated strong HR judgment in dealing with complex employee relations cases. Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and statutes which govern policies and practices of hiring, compensation and benefits and general employment. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $85,600.00 - 107,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
