Eaton manufacturing plant in Sutton in Ashfield designs and manufacturers alarm, signal, control and notification equipment used in harsh environmental conditions. We're currently looking for a HR Manager to join our highly talented HR organisation in the UK.
What you'll do:
As the Sutton in Ashfield HR Manager, you will have the responsibility to coordinate, and maintain HR policies and procedures for the Human Resources Department in accordance with legal, divisional and corporate guidelines.
You will therefore coordinate, prioritize, manage and deliver corporate, sector, group, regional and divisional HR projects across the site. As an integral part of the site leadership team, you will report into the site manager and influence the strategic direction of the plant and support the long term plans for the facility. You will also be the primary HR contact for the functional team including R&D, Division Finance and Sales & Marketing departments located at the site.
Responsibilities:
Build talent capability by utilising data to identify, assess and address critical talent needs by leading talent reviews.Lead talent processes for goal and development plan setting, assessment of talent, succession planning, training / development plans, employee survey / engagement actions and I&D activities. Build organizational capability by attracting and retaining talent across the functions and operations, including partnering with local colleges and universities.Coach managers and employees in understanding and applying HR tools to improve organization performance through employee engagement and manager effectiveness.Lead employee relations matters across the site, including: grievances, disciplinaries and capability management to ensure effective conflict resolutions are in place. Oversee OAD activities to ensure the site is structured effectively to meet its objectives as well as take the lead on functional OAD activities in conjunction with the Functional HRBP and functional leadsBe an active change agent, focusing on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures providing direct support and coaching to all levels of managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions.Elect, conduct, coordinate and monitor employee representative meetings and involvement programs - ensure actions are visible and transparent for all site employees to see progress across the business.Provide advice and guidance to leaders on employment and employee relations issues including company policies and procedures, terms of employment and employment legislation, ensuring fair and ethical management actions at all times. Develop HR policies, practices and programs to manage talent, drive culture, and align the organization.Ensure HR standard work is completed in a timely manner e.g. payroll actions, HR reporting, HR Operational reviews, new starter orientations, expenditure and purchase order processing, sales incentive plans and other employee related processes (including pension scheme and benefits program administration). Ensure the HRMS system is accurately maintained and that regular audits are implemented and partner with the HR Services team to process.Ensure evidence and processes are in place to meet MESH, EBS, OpA or HR Operating Review requirements. Prepare and track key metrics for the monthly HR Operating and Site Tier 3 and 4 reviews and analyse the data to recommend courses of action. Drive functional productivity and effectiveness actions to increase collaboration, integration and functional alignment.Promote continuous improvement using Lean management tools such as standard work, problem-solving techniques and work instructions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institutionExtensive generalist human resources experienceMCIPDDemonstrable HR work experience at Operational level within a manufacturing environmentSpecialized knowledge of the interpretation of laws, regulations and standards, and enforcement agencies for equal employment opportunities, safety, wage and hour, unemployment, workers' compensation and labour lawManagerial skills in budgeting, wage and salary administration and employee relations
Skills:
Strong integrity and experience in handling confidential and sensitive informationProactive self-starter and able to work alone with minimal supervision/supportAble to deal with high volume, with a mix of operational and strategic deliverablesStrong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to partner with different audiences
