Aramark Canada/ LandSea, located in Squamish BC, is looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our growing Remote Services/Catering Company.
As the leader of the Human Resources team, you will play a key role in the execution of companywide HR initiatives.
As a member of the Management team, you will have the ability to work collaboratively with Managers across all aspects of the business, including Sales, Finance and Operations.
About You
You have minimum 6 years? experience in a HR Manager role, preferably in a hospitality or remote camp environment. You are well versed in BC and AB provincial HR legislation and Employment Standards Acts.
The Successful candidate will be self-motivated, team orientated and effectively partner with on site operators to ensure HR practices are aligned to organizational and operational goals. You have a strong ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
This role requires travel to our Head Office in Squamish, B.C. as well as remote sites throughout Western Canada. A hybrid model of working in office, remotely and from home, ensuring a well-balanced work/life integration is our goal!
Job Responsibilities
Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, retention, employee development and succession planning
Provide HR guidance to all levels of staff, including interpreting company policies, provincial and national legislation and provide guidance regarding HR initiatives
Provides support and guidance to HR personnel, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations
Support development and execution of strategy on matters relating to Indigenous Relations
Provide professional coaching to management and others as required
Implement, communicate, monitor and maintain company HR policies and procedures
Create and provide direction regarding learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities
Provide direction and support to the business with various annual cycles and activities including goal setting, talent planning, engagement surveys, performance reviews, compensation recommendations, and reporting
Coordinating new hire onboarding schedule, activities, and materials
Maintaining complete and accurate employee records
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
A minimum of 6 years? experience in a Human Resource Generalist/Manager role
Other combinations of education and experience will be considered
Human Resource experience must include employee relations experience
Preferred experience in Labour Relations
Strong leadership qualities and work ethic
Professionalism, diplomacy and ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications is desired
Presentation skills for general orientation and conducting training initiatives is required
Understanding of Canadian Provincial Employment Standards and Human Rights Legislation and knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety standards is an asset
Calm maturity and natural ability to connect with others
Travel is a required part of your role, anywhere from 2-3 times every week: situational and dependent on business account
