Eaton manufacturing plant in Sutton in Ashfield designs and manufacturers alarm, signal, control and notification equipment used in harsh environmental conditions. We're currently looking for a HR Generalist to join our highly talented HR organisation in the UK.
What you'll do:
As the HR Generalist you will provide support in functional areas of human resources including but not limited to assessment and selection, employee relations, compensation management, organization development, training and special projects across the Sutton in Ashfield site.
Responsibilities:
Manage the recruitment process for both permanent and temporary positions from sourcing to onboarding Support Managers with the completion of first level disciplinary, grievances, attendance management reviews and other employee relations matters Coordinate employee engagement initiatives including but not limited to; employee surveys, wellness activities, charity involvement and inclusion and diversity events Assist with updating and ensuring policies are compliant with legislation and Eaton philosophy and handle queries along with other HR team members Manage key Human Resources administrative tasks, including communications, reward & recognition tracking, employee benefits, guidebooks and flexible working requests Manage and action letters and confirmation including medical approval, referencing, data approval and all subsequent needed information from site Maintain accurate records of employee data compliant both with UK legislation and Eaton best practice including support of the time and attendance process Collect and analyse accurate and timely data for established and relevant HR metrics Design and delivery of training as required Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset by supporting related initiatives by establishing, maintaining and implementing standard work and other tools
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institutionCIPD Level 5 qualified or working towards completionPrevious experience in a HR function ideally in a manufacturing environment Understanding of complex employee relations cases and appropriate resolutionsWorking knowledge of UK employment law and resource management Preferably some exposure to time and attendance systems
Skills:
Demonstrated organizational & prioritization skills Ability to build trust & maintain confidentiality is critical Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization Able to manage through ambiguity in a busy environment
