Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota
Position: HR Generalist
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, in-office work available, with an option for a 4-day workweek after initial orientation and training. HR staff are expected to be in the office three days a week.
Role Overview: The HR Generalist role encompasses various responsibilities including recruiting, compliance and risk management, performance management, policies, and procedures, employee relations, and additional HR department support.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with departmental managers to facilitate the hiring process for open positions, managing job advertisement placement and postings.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, maintaining human resource databases, and supporting compliance-related reports.
· Administer and execute performance evaluation processes, providing feedback and coaching as necessary.
· Support compensation and benefits administration, promoting and explaining plans to employees.
· Train staff on employee handbook policies, staying updated on HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
· Facilitate ongoing communication between leadership and employees, handling employment-related inquiries and disciplinary meetings.
Requirements
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. At least one year of HR experience preferred.
· Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
· Ability to manage information with accuracy and handle HRIS systems proficiently.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and HR software.
