Job Description Visa is seeking a Director, People Partner that will act as a trusted thought partner to the Commercial Leadership team across our Central Eastern Europe region (role based in Warsaw) and will also lead the build out of a new Technology Hub in Poland partnering with Global and European Technology/HR partners. This individual will have a commercially focused mindset and translate business needs to human resources strategies, while being high focussed on moving with pace and bias for action.
The role will work closely with cross-functional partners to successfully plan and deliver HR programs and services. We are seeking someone with a client focus, a proven understanding of people strategies and practices, who thrives in complex environments while maintaining high levels of empathy and a sense of humour. We need someone with the ability to adapt and flex to multiple priorities and lead through significant growth and change for the business.
The successful candidate will be a proven HR generalist, an advocate of achieving a world class employee experience for colleagues at Visa by deploying HR practices and process which enable the organization to thrive and grow. Given the strategic importance of the successful creation of the new Poland Tech and Product Hub, candidates with proven experience of rapid growth technology organisations will be highly relevant.
What we expect of you, day to day.
Lead the multi-year build out of a new 1500+ people global Technology & Product Hub. Strategic planning to attract, grow and retain emerging and diverse talent in the region. Work with European and Global partners, ensure the growth plan is enabled via external partners, internal resources or Centres of Excellence.Partner with the leadership team of the region, deliver HR plans, programs, and processes. This role will deliver strategically important HR programs, blended with an operational focus.Demonstrate strong advisory ability and the capability to develop solutions across a range of HR disciplines such as workforce planning, organizational design, talent management & development and engagement.Driving the future state talent landscape by partnering with leaders to conduct talent reviews, create succession plans and customize development plans for key talentUtilize proven coaching and communication skills to drive employee engagement and manage change, ensuring motivation and retention of talent is a core priorityProactively identify people related opportunities, using organizational health metrics as a key driver, that will have a key impact and work across stakeholder groups to co-create solutionsUsing data, consistently measure effectiveness of HR initiatives and programs to ensure they are delivering desired outcomes.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications What we’re after…
• Depth of experience as a proven commercial HR generalist in a large, matrixed, and high growth
organization. Technology and/or high growth experience a distinct preference.
• Strong influencing, coaching and communication skills, grounded in an ability to build credibility and
gravitas, creating trusted client partnerships
• Experience in a growing global business and positive reputation for working effectively and influencing
across all levels of an organization
• Experience working in a fast paced and matrixed HR function with a solution focused / customer
centric mind-set. Demonstrable experience of partnering with local and global stakeholders key.
• Successful implementation and project management of operational and strategically important HR
programs and processes across a region.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to constructively challenge, honed in a
demanding and high performing work environment
• Hands on approach willing to roll up sleeves to deliver results. Flexible and optimistic mindset with
low ego.
