Description
Robert Half is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of HR Compliance Specialist with a growing HR department in a local organization. This vital role ensures a company's adherence to federal, state, and local employment regulations through frequent audits and a comprehensive understanding of employment laws. While this position will be fully remote, the candidate will be required to work standard business hours on the eastern time zone to support the HR team.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Conduct regular audits of I-9s, and HR files to ensure compliance with employment regulations
Stay updated on changes in employment laws and reflect these in company policies
Collaborate with HR teams to ensure all processes are compliant
Regularly report findings to the Compliance Manager
Maintain meticulous records of audits, findings, and actions takenW
Requirements
Eligibility Criteria:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field
HR Certification preferred or equivalent experience
A minimum of 2-3 years of HR experience with a focus on compliance or employment law
Comprehensive understanding of employment laws (e.g. Form I-9, FLSA, FMLA, PSL, Pay Transparency)
Strong analytical and auditing abilities
Able to work both independently and as a team member
Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
