Position Summary
Responsible for supporting all Human Resources related activities for the assigned client group and/or regional area with direct support to specific Country Managers in Belgium and Netherlands.
This position is part of a shared service HR center.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
To ensure the company complies with local government legislations within the BNL Region.Ensure all people policies meet current legislation and company goals that enhance employee engagement.To manage the absences tracking and the administrative tasks related to absences management.To support the local management team to raise their team performance, and engagement through positively promoting all company initiatives and policies.Administrative support to disciplinary and grievance processes.Act as a trusted HR contact for line managers across the region to include Belgium and The Netherlands.Taking responsibility for needs analysis and providing accurate and timely advice and solutions on an independent basis, calling for HR advice when required.Provide advice and support on Occupational Health & Wellbeing, as well as other related topics as required by the team or individuals within the business.Contribute to various WEMEA HR projects, helping to support the people agenda and related corporate initiatives including employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, and talent.Administration duties will include payroll tasks and drafting of contracts.Ensure that all the necessary people management and development activity required to support the business is delivered in the most professional and effective manner.Other HR tasks/activities as required by the Human Resources Director or Subregional HR Manager.
What your background should look like
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires broad training in fields such as business administration and human resources or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a two (2) or three (3) year diploma program or equivalent combination of experience and education.Minimim 1-3 years of directly related and progressively responsible experience in Human Resources, preferably in a recruitment and staffing function. An HR designation would be considered an asset.Generalist Human Resources experience in Netherlands and Belgium is required. Experience in other European countries would be advantageous.Demonstrated experience with Employee Relations cases
Knowledge & Skills:
Language Requirement: Fluent in English and Dutch to native or equivalent level required. Full business proficiency required.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writingFluency in French and/or German would be beneficialAdept at handling sensitive and confidential situationsStrong interpersonal skillsExcellent presentation skillsStrong organizational skills; attention to detailAbility to resolve associate issues quickly and efficientlyFamiliarity with specific country employment lawsAbility to represent a positive and professional imageStrong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
