Work you'll do
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Infrastructure Transition SME to join our Infra Ops team, specializing in Hosting/Cloud Ops. This role is pivotal in ensuring a seamless and efficient transition of infrastructure services for our clients. As the Infrastructure Transition SME, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing the smooth transition of infrastructure services, with a specific focus on hosting and cloud operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring a successful migration and leveraging your expertise in infrastructure technologies to exceed client expectations.
Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive transition plans for migrating infrastructure services to hosting/cloud environments.
Define strategies to minimize downtime, ensure service continuity, and optimize resource utilization during transitions.
Possess in-depth knowledge of hosting and cloud technologies, specializing in major platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure a successful migration of diverse infrastructure components.
Identify potential risks associated with infrastructure transitions and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure a smooth transition.
Create and maintain detailed documentation related to infrastructure configurations, transition plans, and post-implementation support procedures.
Work Implement robust quality control processes to uphold established standards and client requirements during infrastructure transitions.
Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify areas for continuous improvement.

Qualifications
Required:
8+ years of experience with successfully leading infrastructure transition projects, particularly in Hosting/Cloud Ops
2+ years of experience managing infrastructure as a code using Terraform
1+ years of experience with strong project management skills with managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
1+ years of experience with infrastructure architecture and systems integration
Bachelor's degree
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are advantageous
ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Certification
Project Management Professional (PMP)
AWS certified Solution Architect Professional
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $119,000 to $198,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
