Job Description
A healthcare company is looking to hire a HIM/ROI Quality Specialist to join their team. The role is based between the Pennington and Trenton locations, M-F, 8:00-4:30. This person needs a strong background in release of information to first aid in cleaning up their backlog. From there, they seek someone to assess the current environment, identify and streamline process improvement, and make best practice recommendations. This individual will receive medical documentation/results requests from insurance companies, providers, patients, attorneys, etc. They will take these requests and go through the proper steps/legal checks to send that information to the appropriate party. This individual will handle documents from all areas, including physician practices, hospital releases, corporate compliance, etc. The candidate must also have knowledge of HIPPA, subpoenas, court orders, etc. The turnaround time for the documents is 30 days.
Skills and Requirements
* HIM credentialed (RHIT or RHIA) - or eligible to obtain
* Extensive background in managing medical records and release of information (ROI)
* EMR experience
* Comfortable with a high-volume environment
* Must have a personal vehicle. * Experience with Cerner, OnBase, or Athena systems null
