　　The Town of Webster is seeking permanent full time Highway Motor Equipment Operator Trainees who are interested in a career instead of a job. Must be able to thrive in an environment dedicated to excellence, safety and public service. This is a year-round 40-hour per week position with opportunity for overtime and premium pay for shift work. After 2-year traineeship, job matures into a full MEO position. Benefits include health insurance, dental coverage and pension.

　　Typical Duties:Learns and performs various Highway maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:

　　Operation of heavy equipment/vehicles/trucks, including backhoes, dump trucks, snowplows, pavers, loaders, bobcat loaders, etc. used for highways maintenanceManual labor such as cleaning, loading and unloading trucks, raking and shoveling asphalt or topsoil, snow shoveling, leaf pickup, tree trimming, storm sewer and drainage work and paving-related activitiesSemi-skilled maintenance or construction trades, such as masonry, carpentry, plumbing, painting, or other maintenance operationsOperation of small equipment and power tools, such as generators, bush clippers, leaf loaders, lateral and mainline cameras, chainsaws, compressors, chippers, jackhammers, etc.;
