General Summary:
Strong fundamentals in core areas: Computer Architecture, Computer Arithmetic, Digital Signal Processing, Circuit Design, Process Technology- Strong Experience required in : Synthesis for High-speed and Low-Power / Low-Area, UPF, DCG, Formal Verification, CLP, PTSI and PTPX- Strong Background required in one or more among: Circuit Design, Standard Cell Libraries, Compiler and Custom Memories, Physical Design- Strong communication skills to work with design teams worldwide- 3-6 years experience in Digital ASIC / Processor Design with a leading chipset companyMinimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.
Define and implement the synthesis and low power specification for Qualcomm’s High Performance DSP cores that are critical for the success of many Qualcomm wireless products and adjacent market needs. Following are the requirements for the role.
Tasks include Specifying timing constraints, UPF / MCMM Synthesis, Formal Verification, Conformal Low Power checks, Primetime, Power analysis
Optimize datapath design for low-area, low-power and high-speed using various techniques in RTL, Synthesis and PD
Prototype datapath blocks using Synthesis, Physical Design and Power analysis tools
Interface routinely with Microarchitecture, Design, DV, PD, PDN, and CAD engineers, and lead a project to completion
Mentor young engineers, manage project schedules, document flows and issues
