Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or equivalent in related field and no experience required.
Job Summary:
To provide general problem-solving assistance relating to computer systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
6 months in a customer service or call center environment
Job Duties:
This person will be the first point of contact for customers (UTMB users) calling to request a new telephone or changes to their telephony environment including the following tasks:
First point of contact for customers:
Requesting new phones or telecom services.
Requesting moves/adds/changes of telephones and other telecom services.
Requesting information about billing.
This person should be familiar with the following technologies and tasks:
Avaya, NEC, and Microsoft Teams communication platforms.
Basic telephony knowledge and terms.
Microsoft Windows and general PC operations.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word.
6 months experience general data entry.
Works well in a team-oriented environment but able to work independently as needed.
Highly organized with an emphasis on detail.
Telecom knowledge is a plus.
Must be able to provide great customer service.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Basic telephony knowledge
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm and as needed.
Salary Range:
Actual salary commensurate with experience.
