Description We are currently looking for a Help Desk Analyst I to join our team in Garden City, New York. This role primarily involves providing technical assistance to computer system users and resolving computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from a remote location. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Responding to queries, running diagnostic programs, isolating problems, and determining and implementing solutions.
• Providing technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
• Walking customers through problem-solving processes.
• Installing, modifying, and repairing computer hardware and software.
• Running diagnostic programs to resolve problems.
• Resolving technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
• Training computer users.
• Maintaining daily performance of computer systems.
• Responding to email messages for customers seeking help.
• Asking questions to determine the nature of the problem and walking customers through problem-solving steps. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Experience with Active Directory to manage network resources.
• Knowledge of database management systems.
• Understanding of computer hardware components and their functions.
• Experience with Deskside Support to provide technical assistance to end users.
• Familiarity with Desktop Hardware to troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose technical issues and implement solutions.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and end users.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
• Willingness to continually learn and adapt to new technologies and software updates.
• Proven track record of providing high-quality customer service in a help desk environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time efficiently.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
