Description:
The Information Technology Support Specialist is responsible for the hands-on support of all IT systems. Specific duties will include, but not be limited to, IT support, administration, and management of end-user devices, servers and accounts. This position will help ensure continuous availability of both Windows and Linux environments, telecommunications, email, etc.
Requirements
Required Skills and Education:
2+ years’ hands on experience supporting end-users in small to mid-size organization.
Prior experience in active directory, including but not limited to client-server communications, exchange environments and policy-based security.
1+ years’ supporting virtual machines in VMware or Hyper-V environment.
Ability to document processes, recommend process changes, update and create end-user knowledge-based documentation.
Solid understanding of Microsoft technologies, including but not limited to Microsoft Windows 10, Office and server-based operating systems.
VOIP experience a plus.
Effective interpersonal, communications, and collaboration skills in a diverse company culture.
Team-oriented, willingness to learn, willingness to teach.
Willingness to become an SME (Subject Matter Expert) in areas of technology.
CompTIA Security+, MCP and CISSP desired, as are other industry certifications.
DoD sector experience beneficial.
Experience in an ISSO role a plus.
NIST/CMMC compliance experience beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related disciplines (advanced degrees preferred)
