Job Description:
The Health, Safety and Environmental Manager is a core member of the Global Risk Management team. This role will be responsible for managing EHS policies and compliance within Arrow globally and continue to improve Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) programs to ensure an exemplary health and safety performance and culture.
This role will support the business by applying in depth HSE knowledge, experience, and expertise as well as being accountable for compliance with EHS regulations throughout Arrow.
This position will follow a hybrid schedule of 3 days in our office (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) based in Centennial CO and 2 days from home.
What You'll Be Doing:
Responsible for creating, implementing, and managing EHS policies and procedures throughout the organization.Accountable for regulatory compliance: Implements policies and standards.Ensures relevant material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible.Maintains records of exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.Oversee and enforce compliance with OSHA, EPA and other regulatory agency standards and manage reporting, communication, and archiving processes.Oversee assessing, inspecting, and recommending of measures for the reduction and elimination of environmental, safety and health risks.Ensure the development and management of accurate and timely EHS data (including reporting process), and analytics and trend analysis to drive awareness and understanding of current safety status across the sites and identify gaps or areas of remediation.Oversee the inspection, testing, and maintenance of EHS protective systems, and assure operations comply with applicable EHS laws / regulations, good business practices, and company requirements.Responsible for conducting investigations, performing root cause analysis, implementing corrective or preventative measures, and ensuring accurate records are maintained.Lead EHS audits and inspections developing corrective and preventative action plans.Creation and delivery of EHS training programs.Development, collection, and analysis of EHS metrics and reports.Understand and participate in management of workers' compensation claims.Ensure coordination of EHS-related contractor activitiesIdentify and interpret safety and environmental regulations and provide guidance for compliance.
What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in environmental safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required.Minimum five years of experience within the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)Professional designations or certifications (example - CSP, CIH, CSHM IOSH, CPE, QEP)Ability to travel up 30 to 40% of time.Fluent English required; Spanish preferred.Physically able to conduct onsite inspections.Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerExtensive knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, requirements, and policies (local, state, providence, federal, and country)Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.Subject matter expert in OSHA, CAL/OSHA, and EPA regulationsStrong understanding of EHS terminologyProficient with MS Office Suite, specifically MS Excel.Competent and experienced with EHS software tools, systems, and platforms.Collaborates and ability to build strong relationships and partnerships within and outside of the company.Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and establish effective relationships with front-line and mid-level personnel.Proven expertise regarding Mexico health and occupational safety lawsDemonstrated knowledge of the jurisdictions in Canada relating to occupational health and safety legislation (federal, provincial, and territorial)
