Our work depends on a Health IT Risk Management Lead joining our team to support the Indian Health Service (IHS) Electronic Health Records Modernization (EHRM) program. As a Health IT Risk Management Lead supporting the IHS EHRM program, you will be responsible for supporting the PMO for contract management execution support.
This role is fully remote!
HOW A HEALTH IT RISK MANAGEMENT LEAD WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Serve as a subject matter expert in risk, controls, and technology best practices.
Provides technology and business risk oversight, policies, standards, controls, processes, procedures, responses, and contingency plans.
Create the program risk management plan, lead the development of risk registers, conduct complex risk analysis, and provide facilitation, guidance, and training to the team.
Monitor efforts to ensure compliance with the risk management plan, processes, and procedures.
Perform risk assessments to identify and analyze risks.
Quantify and prepare metrics to demonstrate residual risks and prioritize remediation actions.
Lead regular risk meetings with business and technical stakeholders.
Providing daily, weekly, monthly reports to key internal and customer stakeholders and attend customer risk working groups and risk review meetings.
Collaborate with the team to ensure risks are incorporated into the schedule and/or financial forecasts.
Identifying trends and interdependencies of different risks throughout the program.
May supervise others.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Required skills and experience:
Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Experience in Health IT and Healthcare
Experience creating and maintaining risk registers, response plans, and status from identification through realization and closure
Experience in task coordination; functional knowledge of IT project management concepts and tools
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance, which requires residency in the U.S. for at least 3 of the last 5 years
Ability to travel up to 25%, if needed
Desired skills and experience:
Experience with EPLC strongly preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with risk owners and leadership
IT Project Risk Management experience or credentials
Proven ability to work effectively in a remote and distributed team environment
