Your Opportunity:
Support and abide with the Pier One Sydney Harbor Hotel LSOP’s.
Manage the daily kitchen utility operations and staff.
Areas of responsibilities include dish room operation, night cleaning, back dock cleaning and maintenance, banquet plating and food running.
Supervises kitchen employees not actively engaged in cooking (eg. Dishwashers, kitchen helpers, etc.)
Ensures all events’ set ups such as Buffets, food stations, live cooking stations etc are set up in a timely manner up to the standard set buy the Chefs/F&B leadership
Strives to continually improve guests and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget
Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE) and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.
Skills, Education and Experience:
A genuinely warm & welcoming demeanor.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt and work well under pressure.
Display a growth mindset and display initiative.
You are reliable and flexible with the ability to work various shifts.
2+ years of experience in food & beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
