Amazon is looking for a Head of WW Third-Party Seller (3P) Trade Strategy to drive critical large-scale cross-functional projects to de-risk and enable new business opportunities by executing on a broad range of project management, program management and trade compliance matters. As the Head of WW 3P Trade Strategy, you will define the risk framework, strategy, and execution plan to programmatically scale a high visibility, complex cross border trade compliance program globally.
You will influence across VP-level organizations in business, Seller Partner Services, logistics, tax, legal, public policy, and other internal business partners to drive projects that address critical business and regulatory requirements. You will help shape and define requirements for (1) Seller engagement programs to increase compliance, (2) interpreting regulatory feedback and contact data to shape the risk appetite for executive leadership, (3) informing the seller enforcement strategy for our stores globally, and (4) develop proactive regulatory engagement strategies.
To successfully build your compliance solutions across cross-functional teams, you will earn trust with stakeholders by learning about and understanding their business lines and products. You will drive alignment by providing near and long term considerations and impacts, and highlight recommended trade-offs and priorities. When confronted with discordant views, you will drive the best way forward and build consensus.
In making decisions, you will act quickly to balance risk and customer experience. You will test assumptions by getting feedback from the right input providers across the company and reviewing metrics and benchmarks. You will work with business intelligence engineers and technology teams to design, build and track key performance indicators and systems. Clear and compelling communication is critical to success in this role.
Key job responsibilities
In this role you will
• Work with Amazon’s Global Trade Services team to execute strategy, drive and enforce global trade processes, seek automation opportunities and leverage technologies.
• Work across multiple VP-level organizations to drive alignment on 3P trade risk and mitigation efforts.
• Engage with product and technical teams to influence road-map for internal systems used to carry out trade operations.
• Drive scalable business solutions and ensure compliance with trade regulations.
• Engage with cross-border regulatory authorities.
• Collaborate with business units to proactively identify compliance issues and comply with regulatory obligations.
A day in the life
In this role no two days will be exactly the same but regular activities will include:
• Drafting recommendations on how to meet trade compliance requirements for new and innovative business initiatives.
• Working across multiple VP-level organizations to drive alignment on 3P trade risk and mitigation efforts.
• Engaging directly with customs and partnered government agency regulators on 3P trade related matters.
• Working with business, legal and logistics stakeholders to develop strategies to support rapid growth of Amazon's import and export programs.
• Collaborating with technical teams to define requirements for Amazon's systems, driving relevant import and export programs.
• Working with operations teams to troubleshoot issues and drive ongoing process improvements.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• 7+ years of experience in process definition, having taken a process from concept to execution
• Prior experience in a large-scale Project Management role
• Proven experience with driving data driven results
• Experience developing processes to meet internal control requirements
• Experience presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including senior leadership
• Experience turning complex compliance requirements into scalable processes
Preferred Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience with import/export compliance
• Graduate Degree (Masters, JD, or PhD)
• PMP Certification or equivalent Project Management certification
• Familiarity with SQL
• Must be able to think creatively and possess analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $214,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
