As Head of Sales for Americas you and your team are responsible for the complete sales process for SES’s Power-to-Hydrogen and Power-to-X projects in North America and Latin America. Starting from setting Marketing and Sales Strategy together with the Hub Sales up to negotiating contracts together with Bid Management, Legal and Commercial Sales.
As the leader of the team you manage the competences in your team and also in the larger sales community and align the winning-strategy for each project with Senior Management.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Reporting directly to the Vice President Sales, you will be responsible for leading the growth of SES in Americas, providing guidance on sales forecasting, processes, reporting, enablement, and market development
Manage key customer relationships and work with the field sales in the region to identify the best opportunities and bring them to an award
Define Bid/Win Strategy, including market situation, Customer’s value orientation and preference, Competition Analysis, target price/efficiency, etc. with the Sales Team
Set-up and lead cross functional and cross organizational bid/capture teams to submit comprehensive and high quality technical & commercial proposals
Establish the most suitable and competitive technical solution based on bid/win strategy, including but not limited to selecting the right type of equipment, scope of supply and optimized components and ensuring that the project is developed on good foundations and can be delivered during the execution phase
Lead Customer negotiations to finalize the post tender clarifications and contract agreements
Ensure all work is in line with the QA procedures, statutory, regulatory and EHS requirements
Abide by and comply with the Siemens Compliance and Business Conduct Guidelines
What You Bring
Experienced professional with more than 15 years of overall experience. Minimum 10 years of experience in Sales, Go-to-Market Strategy, Business Development or Bid Management
Experience in Licensing/EP/EPC business for chemical and refinery customers, process engineering and/or hydrogen technology
Demonstrated track records in managing a project funnel with bid/no bid decisions, prioritization of most promising projects, focusing the organization of securing profitable projects
Experience working with both customer and internal senior executives to support key opportunity capture, strong strategic and tactical thinking and good business acumen.
Experience in developing technical solutions with customers, based on deep understanding of the customer and projects economics and business case.
Demonstrated track records in establishing best in class sales processes including customer engagement plan, bid strategy, negotiation tactics. Structured way of managing the project pipeline
Demonstrated track records in developing top teams, based on strong coaching capabilities and a track record in driving performance and continuous improvements.
Strong safety culture demonstrated with facts.
