We are looking for a senior Public Policy expert who can combine a passion for innovative products and services such as virtual / augmented reality and social media with a deep knowledge of the political and regulatory environment, dynamics and stakeholders in Germany. Successful applicants will become part of a thriving team that is dealing with some of the most interesting public policy and regulatory issues of our times including competition and content regulation, artificial intelligence, privacy/data protection, sustainability, E-Commerce, media regulation and the metaverse, virtual & augmented reality.Contract (STE) to May 2025

　　Head of Regulatory Policy (STE) Responsibilities:

　　Development and execution of regulatory strategies to achieve company goals in public policyMonitor legislation and especially regulatory developments affecting Meta in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and advise the company with respect to regulatory challengesRepresent Meta in meetings with senior government officials and elected members of parliament, media and to the general publicDevelop public policy positions together with other teams at MetaHelp build coalitions with other organizations such as trades, associations and companies to advance policy goals of MetaCommunicate Meta's positions in public presentationsAdvise Meta teams on public policy matters to guide development of products, services and policies especially with regard to content regulationMinimum Qualifications:

　　Significant experience working on relevant policy and regulatory issuesFull fluency in German and superb written and spoken English requiredFamiliarity with working with politicians and government officials including those at the most senior levels and ability to grasp complex technical and policy issuesA passionate belief in the social and economic benefits of the Internet and Meta and its products in particularAn ability to work with cross-functional teams from a wide range of disciplinesExcellent communication skills and significant experience in speaking publiclyA flexible mindset that thrives in a fast-moving environmentA track record of writing and delivering position papers, articles, speeches, and presentations on relevant topicsAn ability to translate between the specialist languages of technology and politicsPreferred Qualifications:
