State Street seeks to recruit a Managing Director for Global Technology Services (GTS) Head of Regulatory and Technology Services SSBI. This highly visible role will focus on enhancing and leading our audit and regulatory activities and leading the management, reporting, SLAs and our legal obligations of being the service provider to SSBI. This role will drive compliance with the global issues management standard and provide transparency, awareness and escalations to GTS Executive Management and governing committees. This role is expected to deliver exceptional client service and maintain all related activities in an organized and consistent manner. As such, the proven ability to communicate effectively, think strategically, but ensure timely action, execution, and ownership are essential.
What you will be responsible for
As Head of Regulatory and Technology Services SSBI, you will:
Regulatory Projects: execute key projects of work across global technology services to deliver against our regulatory commitmentsProvide key input to and assist in the preparation of submissions of regulatory responses to examinations; questionnaires, ensuring accuracy and completeness and in compliance with regulatory guidelinesInteractions with Regulatory Authorities: provide support to Head of IT SBBI in representing technology in meetings, discussions and responses to regulatory queriesRisk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify and assess regulatory risks and propose appropriate mitigation strategies. Provide regulatory input to risk management activities, including risk assessments and risk mitigation plans.Provide GTS Executive Management with line of sight into ongoing and upcoming technology-related audits or regulatory reviews, ensuring appropriate awareness and engagement throughout the lifecycle of eachCollaborate with stakeholders to validate issues and to Management Actions (remediation responses) for all valid issuesGovern Global Technology Issues ensuring adherence to the Global Issues Management Standard and promoting a culture of accountability and ownership related to remediation of issuesRepresent at various State Street (SSBI) Legal Entity Board Meetings to provide updates on remediation progress related to key open issuesOn behalf of global technology services own the technology services that are delivered to the business, ensuring all technology is provided in a stable and secure way and in line with service level agreementsDefine and manage the delivery of key performance indicators and management information to meet the needs of the business in terms of technology servicesChair the service review meetings to ensure technology services are being delivered in line with business expectations and service levels; identifying continuous improvements to the services deliveredWork across the GTS leadership, to ensure we are able to articulate and deliver technology strategy which meets the demands and requirements of the businesses we serveDemonstrate strong communication and relationship building skills in interactions stakeholders across the organization including executive management, enterprise risk, and internal auditDeliver clear and meaningful reports, presentations, and other materials for Executive Management and Governance Committees and Boards.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
10+ years' experience in financial services industry with IT risk, regulatory, audit or technology operations knowledge/experienceExtensive experience in program delivery across programs of work that include technology transformation, regulatory and riskStrong attention to detail, organizational skills, program management skills, and a commitment to ensuring timely and accurate stakeholder communicationsExcellent interpersonal, leadership, negotiation, and communication (verbal and written) skills.Client service skills -must demonstrate the judgment and ability to closely partner with and advise business and technology leaders (and other stakeholders) on audit and issues-related mattersAbility to learn new products, services, businesses while supporting themStrong analytical skills, solid judgment, and the ability to evaluate complex business issuesAbility to manage multiple workstreams involving different partners and groups.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, including by demonstrating excellent time management and planning skillsA relationship builder with the ability to establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with business and functional partners at the firm
