Main Responsibilities
The head of project management Region is leading a group of project managers that is responsible for delivering a portfolio of projects by ensuring excellence in execution. He/she oversees all aspects of innovation projects to ensure successful commercialization and launch of new products. He/she will ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget and with required CHC standards.
He/she will plan project activities within the region: timelines and milestones. He/she develops end-to-end project plans that detail critical milestones, resources, timing, and roles and responsibilities.
This role will work with the cross-functional teams to achieve successful product launches and will promote a culture of collaboration and accountability through outstanding organizational & leaderships skills.
He/she will be a key point of contact for the portfolio management team and report to the head of Project & Portfolio management.
Key Results / Accountabilities
Manage all aspects of scope, resources, and timeline for the portfolio of projects of the region.Oversees coordination of people & resources required to successfully deliver the projects on time and on budget.Oversees multiple CHC innovation projects from ideation to launch by ensuring E2E execution of the projects.Ensures timely execution of critical tasks, milestones and deadlines. Follow-up with teams to continuously update the plan and prioritize activities as needed for the successful implementation of the project.Translate project statuses into executive dashboard-style reporting.Proactively communicate project expectations, statuses and metrics to all key stakeholders.Perform risk management strategies as required and take necessary risk mitigation steps.Identify organizational gaps and influence the project environment to address gaps that impact the projectEnsure functional deliverables are understood and timelines are on trackInteracts closely with the other Heads of Project Management in the Regions to align on ways of working, capabilities and workloadManage a team of project managers (PMs) that work alongside cross-functional teams to meet project objectives and deadlinesProvide support and mentoring to PMs in the completion of allocated projects.Ensure all PMs in the team are trained for the tasks they are completing andEnsure that PMs manage/lead CHC innovation projects, create & maintain comprehensive project plans, manage team meetings including developing agendas and documenting decisions and action itemsSupport others aspects of the business as needed

About You
Education
PhDand/or PharmD and/or MDor any other diploma with related Science background.
Knowledge / Experience
10 + years professional experience.5+ years' experience working as a project manager with oversight for multiple simultaneous development projects in pharmaceuticals.Familiarity of commonly used project management concepts, practices and procedures.Understanding of the drug development process.Ability to quickly understand and execute a process.Ability to prioritize and assign urgency accordingly to tasks/projects.Ability to evaluate and escalate matters on an as needed basis.Demonstrated successes in working with a diverse group of team members and managing multidisciplinary teams.Ability to work effectively under pressure and/or deadlines.Proven ability to work through and always overcome conflicts productively and while maintaining professionalism.
