  The JP Customer Growth and Engagement team works to help customers discover the best of Amazon using data and insights to invent, test, and scale programs that drive shopper and Prime member growth and engagement. We invent on behalf of the customers to create the most personalized, inspiring and frictionless discovery and shopping experiences on .co.jp. /shopping app.

  We are seeking a Senior Manager, Personalization to join our leadership team and lead a team of PM/PMTs to turn .co.jp./shopping app into a personal store for each of our 50MM JP customers. Specifically, we are looking for a thought leader who will:

  Lead a team of PM/PMTs to work backwards from JP customer needs, create and accelerate both long term strategy and short-/medium-term priorities for Personalization as a critical lever to drive customer satisfaction and revenue/profit growth

  Lead above team to deliver critical product launches that drive significant impact at scale

  Drive high impact product decisions with Japan and WW tech partners and influence long-term technical decisions that transform site experience at scale

  Create efficient working model with WW personalization partners to accelerate local innovations at scale

  Evangelize and influence senior leadership (VP+) in critical personalization decisions across Amazon Japan's diverse LoBs, and establish a center of excellence of personalization to raise the bar of personalized CX across programs and products at Amazon Japan

  Key job responsibilities

  To succeed as Head of Personalization for Japan, we are looking for a thought leader who can excel across critical aspects of the role:

  1) Strategic vision and roadmap: think big and strengthen a culture of bold bets to innovate on behalf of JP customers. This role will drive conversation and strategic review at senior leadership level (VP+) on both long-term and near-term vision, goal and priorities for Personalization for Japan, and align support for and bring visibility to progress, outcome and evolution of plan in this critical growth pillar for Amazon.

  2) Deliver results: strengthen an agile, fail-fast Day One culture and create a strong flywheel between results, learnings, and new bold bets. This role will lead critical two-way-door decisions and establish quick learning cycles of product tests to make sure Amazon Japan stay at the cutting edge of personalization technology and innovations.

  3) Technical depth: partner with tech teams and guide over critical trade-offs of technical decisions that significantly impact long-term efficiency and scalability of how we build a personalized storefront across a diverse basket of front- and back-end stacks with distributed engineering WW

  4) Organizational influence: this role will be critical in forming efficient working models and partnership with both WW and JP dependency/partner teams, and also influence and drive the right personalization decisions across LoBs in Japan outside of the role's direct reporting line

  5) Hire and develop the best: This leader will coach and grow a team of PM/PMTs who are not afraid of challenging established status quo and demand the best for JP customers. This leader will also drive and coach the right prioritization decisions with a working-backwards and two-way-door mindset.

  Tokyo, JPN

  Basic Qualifications

  8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  3+ years of technical product or program management experience

  3+ years of team management experience

  Bachelor's degree

  Preferred Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics

  Thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced Day One environment and experience setting product vision/strategy from scratch that indexes high on leadership influence and evangelism
