About the Team & Job:
TikTok's SMB team aims to help businesses and brands of all sizes unleash their creative side, connect with our audience, or perhaps be discovered! From executing scaled sales and service delivery programs to ensuring our customers have best-in-class tools and products at their fingertips, our SMB team combines operational expertise and sales acumen with a customer-centric mindset to help businesses achieve their marketing goals on TikTok.
We're looking for a skilled, experienced leader to join as the Head of SMB Agencies for our North America SMB Sales team. You will build, scale, and oversee our SMB Agency team. Your team is responsible for acquiring, activating, and accelerating the investment of new and existing agencies and their clients on the platform. As the leader of this team, you will support them in executing high-value acquisition efforts and strategically partner with a diverse range of agencies, helping to drive revenue and product adoption. You will empower your team to engage and grow agency relationships by focusing on education, growth and retention for both agencies and their clients. This leader will be responsible for driving the development of the SMB Agency strategy and a regional Go-to-Market plan, partnering closely with the Global Program Management and Analytics teams to define, test, measure, optimize and scale agency-focused initiatives.
You will have demonstrated success in the leadership, development, and optimization of scaled sales organizations, experience working closely with or as part of agencies, and the ability to work cross-functionally to identify and capitalize on opportunities. We are looking for an individual that has a passion for data-backed storytelling that will identify business opportunities that grow revenue, and brings intellectual curiosity, energized by rapid iteration in a growth environment as we strive to enable as many SMB businesses as possible to grow.
Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue for TikTok through scalable sales efforts, specifically for SMB agencies.
- Build and scale the SMB Agency business to create a healthy, full-funnel of agency activity, from acquisition to retention.
- Ensure that our agency partners and their clients receive the highest level of sales and operational customer service experience.
- Create actionable plans within the team to drive product adoption and educate agencies and their clients in a scalable fashion.
- Partner cross-functionally to identify new strategic, scalable programs and outreach opportunities specifically for agencies.
- Leverage data to analyze current initiatives to inform optimization opportunities to drive revenue growth and retention.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in sales, account management and product solution selling in collaboration with or for agencies - auction, self-serve experience a plus
- People management experience, including managers of managers
- Previous experience managing agency relationships or programs at a platform
- Experience working with small businesses and developing strategies to scale services and support
- Data-driven, capable of in-depth data interpretation
- Experience managing and mentoring managers as well as individual contributors
- Leadership experience engaging and influencing at an executive level with cross-functional groups within a fast-growing organization
- Proven track record of building, developing and leading high-performing teams
- Excellent communicator and comfortable managing multiple tasks
- Strong executive presence and ability to remain calm under pressure
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expert knowledge of social media, mobile apps, and digital/mobile marketing, with preferred experience of self-serve platforms, auction, and biddable form of digital advertising buying
- Experience leading sales or agency development teams within the SMB space
- Solutions-oriented with strong problem-solving and strategy development experience
- Proven track record of reaching and exceeding sales goals and key metrics
