  Job Title: Head of Group Insurance Pricing and Assumptions

  Location: Newark, New Jersey, Portland, Maine, Ft. Washington, PA, Scottsdale, AZ. This position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business in one of Group Insurance's office locations. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

  Role Overview: As the Head of Group Insurance Pricing and Assumptions at Prudential Financial, you will be responsible for setting and overseeing the pricing strategies and assumptions that underlie the development of our insurance products. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of pricing methodologies, risk assessment, and a proven track record of strategic leadership.

  Lead a team of finance and actuarial professionals providing guidance, mentorship, and developmentPricing Strategy: Develop and implement effective pricing strategies for a diverse range of products, aligning them with market trends and business objectives. Analyze market conditions, competitor pricing, and emerging trends to inform pricing decisionsCollaborate with Underwriting, Distribution and Product: Work closely with colleagues to transform strategy into resultsProduct Development Support: Provide expertise and recommendations during the development of new insurance products, ensuring they are priced competitively and profitably.Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that pricing strategies and assumptions comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Conduct thorough risk assessments to ensure that pricing strategies adequately account for potential losses and uncertainties.

  What you'll need:

  Excellent leadership, team building, and communication skills.Proficient in software and analytical tools relevant to the workAdaptability flexibility in times of change and transformationFSA or ASA designation preferred.Experience in insurance pricing, with a focus on strategic pricing and assumption setting.Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in insurance pricing.

  Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $201,900.00 to $273,100.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
