  The area

  The FP&A Process Excellence Team is established to drive a standard process & technical framework with their collaborators that works and supports Diageo to keep up market leader position. This purpose is achieved by embedded governance culture underpinned by global finance processes and policies that is supervised through relevant compliance measurement metrics.

  The role

  Build alliance with key partners across the business and service environment to gain their confidence and support for strategic changeSet vision and drive strategic direction for the FP&A processes by having an external lens and ensuring process keeps pace with standard methodologyDefine, establish, and embed global FP&A Processes, ensuring connections to other financial processes, adherence to process and timelinesEstablish, embed, and continuously improve the FP&A Processes to identify and deliver contribution to Diageo’s Productivity Agenda and GBS’s StrategyBuild mechanisms for KPI reporting, exception management and escalationsDrive the vital process and system changes to enable a robust and simplified planning, reporting, and analysis process to allow insight and understanding of assigned areas as part of an overall FP&A processOwn the technology in place to support the FP&A processes, ensure that right governance in place to manage improvements and system updatesIdentify and drive operational improvement opportunities to optimise, simplify and automate the FP&A processes while also delivering a robust control agendaDrive understanding across the Diageo leadership community of the role of the FP&A Processes in delivering Productivity, ensure understanding of the process and individual roles and responsibilities

  This is a global role, establishing and governing the FP&A processes for all markets and functions. The role will support the Head of FP&A in management of the assigned FP&A Processes within Diageo. The person in the role will regularly work with Market Finance Directors, Local Function leads as well as with Corporate Finance and Functional leads. Responsibility within this role spans the business strategic change requirements for his/her function/process. The post holder will be encouraged to take decisions that are in line with overall GBS strategy, but also ensure that the needs of the finance function are clearly met.

  About You

  University / College degree in finance / business10-12+ years’ experience relevant experienceDeep understanding of Diageo financial processes, with particular focus on FP&A, cost controlling, decision support and P&L reportingExcellent interpersonal skills with senior partnersCurious, willing to dig deeper into data and explore linkagesAble to draw insights from finance and non-finance dataDetail-oriented, structured in approach to workWilling to be flexible and work across work-streams as neededSelf-motivated, team-playerData literacy - the ability to read, write and communicate data in context, including an understanding of data sources and constructs, analytical methods and techniques applied.Proficient English
