Are you a leader who can influence with impact using superior writing skills? Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, the Head of Enterprise Employee Communications will expand and lead the execution of an enterprise-wide communications strategy focused on strengthening the connection between employees and the enterprise, through efficient enterprise-wide communications around Prudential's purpose, vision, strategy, and culture.
The person in this role will work closely with members of Prudential's Executive Leadership Team, as well as other executives, subject matter experts, and teams across multiple businesses, functions, and geographies, providing them with insights and strategic counsel that inform and shape thinking on critical business decisions and leading a team that will implement across a series of critical cross-enterprise and cross-functional priorities.
The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What you can expect:
Lead a team of Communications professionals responsible for driving and implementing communications strategy on issues related to Prudential's people and culture, cross-functional communications, and strategic internal communications.Provide communications support for People communications (HR, DEI), and Cross-Functional communications (Financial, LCBE, Global Technology) in alignment with the company's priorities and desired business outcomes.Oversight to all Enterprise-wide strategic internal communications, planning & channels, and content & production support.Provide leadership to the team accountable for:
Developing and driving enterprise communications that bring to life the culture for employees and future talent.Supporting inclusion and diversity efforts across the enterprise.Supporting cross-functions and providing communications strategy, expertise and advice.Provide communications support for internal strategic communications, such as Prudential's Employer Value Proposition and employer brand as well as ongoing transformation efforts and work to further the vision and purpose of the company.Work collaboratively with leaders of the other verticals and horizontals to align corporate and business narrative, lead campaign strategy, prioritize work flowing through horizontals and ensure the team's focus on the highest priority communications outcomes for the Enterprise.Role-model the five mindsets required for the success of the new operating model (courage, trust, change, big picture, prioritization) and the advancement of a healthy & constructive working relationship between vertical and horizontal teams.
What you'll need:
Business and Financial Competence: excellent business judgement and understanding of business strategy and financial goals. Ability to connect the dots and think laterally about disparate issues.Talent Capabilities and Expertise: experience leading large, diverse teams including many senior leaders with their own portfolios and partners.Trusted business advisor: track record of success in counseling senior business leaders such that insights derived from communications' capabilities influence their business strategies, and communication strategy is driven by business needs and aligned with the enterprise wide comms strategy.Influencing with impact: skilled in influencing business, function and other communications leaders on complicated business issues through a combination of impeccable verbal and written communication skills, highly developed emotional intelligence and savvy navigation of complex business structures.Strategic thought leadership: demonstrated willingness to challenge the status quo and tackle difficult issues in a constructive and outcomes oriented manner, while retaining a forward-looking, innovative approach.Effective Partner: proven success working within a matrixed environment and building alignment across multiple partners and groups.15+ years of professional business experience, with at least 10 years of experience in communications, preferably within a global or multinational corporation, business consultancy, communications, or marketing agency.Bachelor's degree in any field of academic rigor, advanced degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field of study is preferred, but not required with proven experience and track record of achievement.Demonstrable experience leading the successful conception, advancement and execution of communications strategies that have yielded demonstrable business outcomes and influenced changes in outlook and behaviors among a range of target partners.
