The Head of eCommerce, Vaccines North America plays a critical leadership role in setting strategic direction and managing VaccineShop.com (Sanofi's eCommerce platform). This role combines sales, marketing, technology, and management expertise to develop and implement superior brand and shopping experience for our customers.
eCommerce Strategy
Objective: Develop and implement a comprehensive plan that will position VaccineShop as the best-in-class eCommerce platform in the US Vaccines space.
Set up Ambition/ Vision and roadmap
Benchmark (industry/ other industries)
Identify pain points, customer needs and bring effective solutions to Vaccines North America Leadership Team
Develop a detailed plan, including deliverables, interactions, timeline, budget, etc.
eCommerce Sales and Utilization
Objective: Drive sales, conversion, and utilization of platform by customers
Lead efforts to drive sales, conversion, productivity, and UX functionality.
eCommerce Operations
Objective: Oversee site optimization and enhance site usability while maintaining daily operations.
Lead cross functional team to deliver on short and long-term tactics identified to enhance the end-to-end experience and increase customer digital self-service
Manage the day-to-day eCommerce site operations
Propose, improve, review and maintain Key Performance metrics
Execute on tactics and strategies designed to improve site performance.
Create and oversee consistent site testing plans in partnership with Digital and internal stakeholders.
Partner with CX to support digital customer journey mapping and maintain on-going site enhancements to address customer experience impacts.
Create and deliver site performance summaries with a focus on identifying opportunities for site optimization and a recommended path to execution.
Partner with customer service teams to prioritize activities and initiatives to enhance the eCommerce experience and reduce customer escalation.
COMMUNICATION & COORDINATION
Objective: Coordinate and communicate all aspects of assigned segments with relevant stakeholders.
Partner with key stakeholders to ensure all groups are in line with eCommerce strategy. Stakeholders include but are not limited to Adult and Pediatric Marketing, Digital, Sales, Commercial Training, Customer support, BO&S and global support functions.
Gain alignment on strategies and tactical plans with key stakeholder groups so they are prepared to support.
Provide direction and insights to functional groups.
Coordinate activities of outside vendors and agencies within budget limitations and consistent with segment strategic direction.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree required. Master's or MBA preferred.
10+ years' experience in eCommerce Leadership and/or Digital Strategy
Strong operational experience executing UX/UI improvements, growing digital sales, leveraging site and customer insights to execute actions.
Experience in marketing or sales desirable
Excellent communication skills
Experience/Skills/Capabilities
Strong experience in B2B eCommerce
Demonstrated results in disruptive eCommerce solutions that elevate how we interact and service our customers to achieve business results
Significant leadership experience; influence capabilities while demonstrating inclusion and ability to create measurable change and impact with people, process and business outcomes
Proven ability to balance external customer needs/values with a clear understanding of internal business & financial objective
